"We could not have had a better service"

About: South Western Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust / Emergency ambulance

(as a relative),

I called 999 for my mother who had fainted. The ambulance arrived in ten minutes. The paramedics gave my mother a thorough check up including her blood pressure which was poor when she stood up. They stayed with her for about 30 minutes and put me in touch with a doctor who telephoned later that day to check how things were. The doctor assured us that he was there should we need to call him any time at all that day.

We could not have had a better service.

Dear iamtheway

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience. I hope your mother is feeling much better now.

It is always rewarding to hear that our staff are continuing to provide excellent care to our patients when they need us most. Not every patient needs to go to hospital and South Western Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust is committed to delivering better and better care every year, ensuring that all our patients get the right care in the right place at the right time.

I would like to pass your kind comments onto the ambulance crew who came to your mothers aid. Would you be able to contact me, laura.martin@swast.nhs.uk or call 01392 453831, at your convenience, with the date and address that the ambulance attended? This would allow me to identify the staff involved and ensure they are recognised for the care they gave you.

Thank you again for providing feedback on our service.

Kind regards

Laura
