"Eye opening course"

About: Adult Specialist Services / Nutrition & dietetics

(as a staff member posting for a patient/service user),

Four week cooking course with education based on healthy eating. Some of the comments are as follows:

"Made us more aware and healthy as a family, enjoyed taking the recipes home and carrying them out with the family"

"Thankyou really enjoyed, the sessions have been informative and enjoyable, thankyou to Catherine for all your teaching and making it enjoyable, very informative and helpful"

"Its made me make better chioces for family meals"

"It opened my eyes to levels of sugar, fat and salt in our foods that I wasn't aware of"

"Easy relaxed information, recipe cards can go on fridge door to help give me ideas for mealtimes"

"Excellent course and I will recommend to friends and show them my recipe cards"

"Made me realise I need to be more confident in making meals up and look through cupboards more"

It is great to hear that the participants found the sessions increased their knowledge, skills and confidence around healthy eating and the preparation of healthy meals at home. I hope that the participants continue to use the skills and knowledge learnt long after the course has ended.
