I was referred to Inclusion Matters Wirral from my GP, within a few weeks I'd spoken to Terry and my sessions had been arranged. Id never heard of CBT before so was unsure of what to expect.
Terry listened and understood my current anxiety, low mood and stresses. Terry used different tools to help me identify my worries, I was keen to lean more so he gave me booklets so I could understand my worries. I found this really useful for my first steps to change - find out that it is normal to worry - I didn't know about the different worries, but by talking them through and sorting them in hypothetical + practical ways my head began to clear!
Over the next few weeks I practised problem solving my practical worries using the strategies Terry had shown me. I noticed as the weeks went by, my anxiety scare got lower and lower, I enjoyed and looked forward to the weekly sessions - asking for more literature and more website to research.
As my confidence has grown I've learnt how to control my worries. I have begun to talk to family + friends which has also helped. I'm really pleased I had agreed to this course, I feel it has really changed the way I am coping with life's stresses.
" I enjoyed and looked forward to the weekly sessions"
