Long term consultant was in such a hurry to go on his lunch that when I said I had questions and concerns (following a consultation lasting only a few minutes) he told me to keep them for my follow up appointment in 6-8 weeks or see him at his private clinic! Having seen this man on a previous occasion and taken advice from PALS service before my appointment, I can't believe we are still employing people like this. Thankfully the sister has arranged for me to transfer to another consultant - I was very upset by his behaviour, especially as I reasons for concern. I wonder how many other patients have had the same brusque attitude?
