6 year old daughter was referred to this particular dental practice because she was really scared of dentists and her own dentist was finding it difficult to treat her.
We were referred to this particular dental practice because it is supposed to be very child friendly and would help my daughter overcome her fears, particularly as she needed treatment.
However, our visit this morning was dreadful. The dentist spoke to my young daughter as if she was an adult, was very patronising and scared her even more. My daughter is very shy and very reluctant to talk to people until she has got to know them and feels comfortable with them. I was expecting her to be put at ease by the dentist but she was not.
