"Short stay following mastectomy"

I was admitted to Ward 2A following a mastectomy on Thursday 10th July 2014. At all times I received excellent care and attention. The Consultants were skilful, respectful, attentive and inspired confidence at all times. The Nurses on Ward 2A were brilliant. They turned what could have been a very uncomfortable and worrying experience into a relaxed, caring and positive time. There were many occasions of laughter which greatly helped with the recovery period. I want to pay a particular recommendation and heartfelt thanks to a Night Nurse, on Ward 2A. She helped me through the very worst night of the whole experience, when I felt very low and sad. She spent time reassuring me and restored my confidence again. Her actions sum up my whole experience in Gloucester Royal Hospital. We are lucky to have GRH and all that it comprises. We should appreciate it. Thank you.
