"Unhappy with staff and waiting time at A&E"

About: New Cross Hospital / Accident and emergency

(as the patient),

Very rude staff when I asked reason I had been made to sit in a waiting room without being told reason for the wait.

I was brought in by ambulance with chest pains and breathing problems. This was after I had explained I had a breast feeding baby who was crying at home as I was rushed off in an ambulance.

The fact that I was in so much pain, my son has not fed for hours and my son could get dehydrated should have been reason enough to get me attended to and have me on way home. The statistics on the electronic board on how long people were waiting to be seen were also inaccurate. Apparently I was meant to wait only 20 mins, however at least four people sitting next to me had been siting for at least 2 hours.

I regret actually accepting for the ambulance to take me in. Horrendous.
