"Corrective Hip surgery"

It was necessary for me to undergo my third right hip surgery at Springfield following two failed operations at another hospital ; one resurfacing in 2008 and then full replacement in 2012 when the wrong size hip was put in. The excellent care given to me by a dedicated team of health professionals including a surgeon that is second to none has now resulted in a seriously improved standard of life for me. It was not possible to replace the faulty implant but the surgeon has succeeded in negating the constant pain that I have suffered over many years. I cannot praise the quality of care before, during and following my procedure and this has resulted in a speedy recovery both physically and emotionally. Every member of the hospital team is committed to ensuring that all patient needs are not only met but exceeded and there is no segregation between private or NHS care. All patients are treated with respect and dignity and involved in their treatment throughout. All staff were sensitive to patient emotions, fears and concerns and the atmosphere on the ward was caring, encouraging and conducive to speedy recovery. I could not recommend or thank this hospital and it's amazing team highly enough and thank them all from the bottom of my heart for what they have done for me. Yvonne Goouge
