I recently attended A&E with a broken elbow after a fall at home. The department was efficient and well organised: I was triaged, x-rayed and seen by a consultant all within one hour. An appointment was made for me the following day at the Fracture Clinic with a second follow up appointment being made after four weeks. On both occasions the system was exceptionally well organised and all staff that I came into contact with were pleasant and helpful. On both occasions I had been seen and left the hospital five minutes after my appointment time! Excellent service, thanks to all the receptionists, nurses, radiologists and registrars/consultants who attended me.
