"Truly Appalling Level of Service at A&E"

About: Doncaster Royal Infirmary

Twice I visited A&E - arriving at 3am on a Sunday morning and 12.30am the following Monday morning. On the Sunday I had to leave without seeing a doctor because the wait was too long and I was in great pain and couldn't sit on the uncomfortable seats any longer. On the Monday I waited five hours, met a doctor who barely spoke English and gave me paracetamol. Alongside that I spoke to the call in out of hours doctor service who for reasons I still don't understand managed to callback on my parents number, waking them up at 3am and causing them significant amounts of unnecessary worry and distress. This is a department run by incompetents who hold little regard for actual patient care.
