"Missed broken bones"

About: Victoria Hospital / Trauma & orthopaedics

(as a relative),

Cannot believe this NHS Fife.

Wife after Stroke < Left Over 5 hours last march with NO Treatment & 9 Months Re -hab in Total, sent home and was learning to walk outside for the 5th time, Fell Hard on Her *Dead / Weak * SIDE, & injured her Shoulder, Elbow, Hip, Knee, and ANKLE, so taken on Saturday to A & E.

Some injuries were X-Rayed & after some time told No Breaks in any bones, though in Great Pain, sent Home.

Horrendous Pain Saturday through to monday, couldn't even transfer from Bed to Commode. GP called out on Monday. Looked like torn ligament, so pain killers & Cream.

Imagine my disgust in getting a phone call on Tuesday to Say our GP had the X-Rays now and there was a definite break & Transferred again to A&E! !

Wife Has Damaged Heel Bone & A Fractured Ankle, set her Back 8 Months.. But I got a sorry @ the Vic.. Now she has been admitted and faces a long recovery again. It looks like a second medical neglect, complaint..Etc

Dear "Moaner 333"

This sounds like an awful experience and one that we would be keen to look into. As you have been in contact with us previously, please do so again so we can take this forward.

Update posted by Moaner 333 (a relative)

Thanking the NHs Fife A & E Doctor last Year AND NOW the { Missing of the Damage to my Wife's Ankle injuries, } I am Now a 24 / 7 Carer, and at present, My Patient, is Confined 24hrs in bed, and has been set back 5 months in learning to stand on her * Stroke Side * & I have had No Rest Periods for 7 Months, I am unable to meet with anyone from the * Infamous Victoria Hospital *...AND, I Also think it very Strange that Fife Health Board does Not Have a Proper NUMBERED Yearly Complaints Form, so Us the taxpaying public, can at a glance, see when one gets that form, How Many Complaints have actually Been submitted in that year, up to the Time, when you get your Form.... I bet the NHs Fife would really hit the Media Headlines Then!!!.. But it Will Never Happen, to much cover up, just like the Council.!! I wont hold my breath,... never mind winters coming. time to do things= time then to see if the Media will take up May's Story.
