I was taken in to arrow park late on 16/07/14 with septic tonsillitis, I have suffered with this illness several times over my 38 years on this planet and always surfer high temp and surreal pain, but never befour have I just wished I stayed at home and took the chance! They wear fine in A&E it wasn't until I got to ward 20 that things went really horrible, in the morning the doctor came to see me and said that it was a really bad case of it, he told the nurse in charge that I should be given strong pain killers and paractomol offten of course she said this was best, then the doctor left, in pain crying I was left for over 3 hours with no med for the pain or temp! After several attempts and failures she gave in and gave me some and reluctantly appoiligiged but I did let it go thinking over worked under staffed and probably under paid, but then my next lot wear due.......i did ask and I waited 2/3 hours again. But this went on all day I was in so much pain in the end I gave up infact it was another patient who got me attention. The night staff wernt as bad until the end of the night wear they just seem to give up and want to leave! I was not the only one who suffered at there hands I noticed that if you were weak old or just vulnerable they just didn't care to busy didn't have time or you just matter to them! What happened to the calling the caring or the heart behind the job? I know you need to be think skinned but it should not be made of leather with a ticking brick from now on if I take sick I'll be dragging myself through the tunnel to the royal regardless Arrow Park is a disgrace and need a complete staff over haul!
"The nurses are on a power trip!"
