"most horrible experience"

About: Northwick Park Hospital

I was overdue with my first child & as my consultant was aware of the medical problems I had he referred me for induction straight away , who also informed me he has added my name on the list & was asked to come to hospital next day after making a call at 8 am to inform I was coming to labour ward. when called was told to call back in an hours time as they hadn't checked the availability of beds. when I called back I was informed they didn't had my name on the list & was asked to go to DAU who will do the necessary checks & then would be admitted once a bed was available., so from 9 am to 1:30 pm I was waiting in DAU.. was then asked to sit in Edith ward & wait till a bed was available.. was made on wait & sit on those uncomfortable chairs for another 3 hours till my husband made noise. finally bed given , now had to wait for midwife/doctor to come an start the induction.. induction was finally given 12 hours later tat is 8 pm.. next day until afternoon again no doctor came to see .. and the doctor only came to check when I raised my voice about the high heart rate of my baby .. that is when they started looking at me closely & was transferred to delivery suite to be closely monitored.. after monitoring for couple of hours & no progress in my labour doctor finally decided to break my waters at 9 pm .. and it was discovered tat baby was n distress as baby had done poo .. still the doctors were adamant about going for C & wanted to deliver normally.. waited till next morning & was then taken for an emergency C. so finally baby delivered but again the doctors forgot to do necessary checks & after 12 hours was found that baby had caught infection in lungs due to swallowing of meconium... for which baby was taken to intensive care & finally recovered after 2 days ... this is the height or carelessness of the doctors / care that is provided at this hospital even when they are aware of the high risk category.. would never ever recommend anyone to get their baby delivered in this awful hospital ...
