Knee replacement Manchester Elective Orthopaedic Centre Trafford Hospital I recently attended for the above and the care and support both for myself and family has been first class. I attended an educational class for a knee replacement which was supported by the ward Sister, Physiotherapist, Occupational therapist and support staff, this was informative and also gave me and my family an insight into the care I was to receive. I attended the Pre operative clinic also and we came away confident that we were being supported by a caring and professional staff. My surgery was arranged for the 18th June 2014 and I was again cared for by the doctor and the team in a professional and caring manner. My post-operative care in HDU for a short time was excellent considering that at the same time my wife had been admitted as an emergency to the Coronary Care Unit at Fairfield Hospital Bury and I was unaware of this, the staff supported me both physically and emotionally and this also was continued on Ward 12. I am recovering at home with my wife who is well, I have continued to be confident in Trafford Hospital care as I have returned on one occasion for support and have also received a telephone call from the Sister on Ward 12 to review my progress and that of my wife. I have attended many hospitals during my 74 years and my immediate family have worked within the health service in roles including Midwife, Staff Nurse, Social Worker so I have had I think the opportunity to view both sides of the coin !! My view remains that I have had an excellent experience at Trafford Hospital and would not hesitate to recommend the Orthopaedic Centre for the care they have given.
