Where do you start? I have read articles relating to patient experiences of how the system treated them?
There Is No no malice intended in my notes of my experiences, in the past 6 years. The first hand service I have received is second to none with some minor exceptions- no one but no one knows what you are going through except you. They have seen the state before and know what helps but when the light is going out at the end of the tunnel and the 14 miles to Hospital feels like 400 you panic, and I also read about how difficult it is to stop smoking, my answer to that is rubbish 60 to 0 overnight we have a Breath Easy group that members have to have a smoke break one of the reason's I packed it up.
I also read about Re-Hab great but after the allotted time you're on your own, we in Dumfries were very fortunate to acquire the use of NHS Gym foc so we started our own group of which a founder member which runs well. And is overseen by our ex carers in hospital.
I also read about our feelings for the care we got when we were poorly, the DGRI respiratory team are beyond words of praise nothing but nothing was a problem to them even the consultant and his team, far too many to name but I personally owe my life to them all.
I also read how to stop re-admissions to be a priority and how to keep you out, well for my tuppence worth is slow down with the discharge.
Personally I have returned within a week, not good on the patient or the ones at home, I know its a bit of a rant but there you are I am still here adjust your world there are always is someone less fortunate than you
