"Smoking at Main Entrance"

About: North Devon District Hospital

As a regular visitor to Barnstaple hospital for treatment, i am forced on every occasion to walk through patients smoking at this location. At which are very large signs indicating that smoking is not allowed. These patients stand or sit with hospital equipment ranging from IV drips and cathetors to oxygen tanks. Does anybody enforce the hospital policy? At the very least can the bench be removed to discourage offenders and can the area be cleaned, it appears to be a real source of potential infection where on at least one occasion i have seen vomit on the floor. This area does not appear to be conducive to good health, despite what they may claim to be their human rights
