"Long wait for walk-in, though I did see a doc in..."

About: Hospital For Tropical Diseases

The staff at the desk made me feel a little unwelcome through their attitude. Not helpful during such an already stressful period. Very long wait, but it was a walk in emergency clinic so I had expected to wait anyway. The clinic was packed. Every seat in the waiting room was taken. Getting there early in the day may reduce the wait. I saw a triage nurse, had bloods taken, then saw an infectious diseases doctor. The doctor was attentive. Overall I was glad I went, even if it took almost 3.5hrs in total.

Thank you for taking the time to feed back to us. We're so pleased you were happy with the care and attention you received from the clinical team at the Hospital for Tropical Diseases and will feed this back. With regard to the attitude of the staff on the desk, we would be grateful if you could contact our Patient Advice and Liaison Service (PALS) via pals@uclh.nhs.uk or by calling 0845 155 5000 ext 73042 so that we can look into this.
