"Excellent care"

About: Leicester Royal Infirmary

I was diagnosed with a basal cell carcinoma on the tip of my right nostril. I was told it needed to be removed and that I would need a skin graft. I was very worried about possible disfigurement to my face as a graft was being taken from my right cheek. I need not have worried! The doctor and his team were just brilliant. Everyone was kind and reassuring on the day of my operation, and now, two months later, there is hardly a scar visible. I am delighted with the result of this very delicate and complicated surgery. A very big 'thank you' to the Dr and his team.

Dear Helen, It's great to hear that your procedure went well and you have been left with only a little scar! We have passed your lovely comments onto the Clinical Director and Head of Service for Dermatology so they can share this with the rest of the team! If you would like to go the extra mile to say thank you, why not nominate your doctor and his team for a Caring at its Best award via our website https://www.leicestershospitals.nhs.uk/patients/nominate-a-member-of-our-staff-for-an-award/ Wishing you all the best, Communications Team Leicester's Hospitals
