I have recently spent 6 weeks in Daybrook Ward at Nottingham City Hospital being treated for depression.
In my opinion this ward meets the highest standards of care for patients. It is a modern unit with small wards two day rooms and an outside area and a separate dining room.
The staff are excellent and display total professionalism in dealing with patients. I was seen as a weekly basis by the consultant Dr Hadi, who explained the treatment provided and was kind and considerate throughout.
The ward is spotlessly clean, the food is good and health and safety regulations are observed.
I understand the ward is due for closure in October 2014 and I trust most patients and their relatives will express their views in the hope the NHS will reconsider and keep the ward open.
"The staff are excellent and display total professionalism"
