"Left Hip Replacement"

Last week I received a Total Hip Replacement at the Leicester General Hospital and cannot speak highly enough of the care and attention I was given. I was nervous of having the operation as I had not stayed in a hospital for over 40 years and there is so much bad press about the NHS it makes you think "am I making the right decision ?" The Pre Operation visit was excellently co ordinated and all the staff I came into contact with put me at ease with their professional and caring approach I was admitted to ward 19 and ended up in ward 14 after the operation and the care I was given was 1st class ! The nurse who took me down to the operating Theatre made me laugh, the anesthetists were brilliant and chatted, and obviously my consultant seems to have done a fantastic job. I would especially like to thank the staff in ward 14 who made my recovery and aftercare during my stay as good as I imagine it can get in a hospital. I can only say that the people on that ward are truly inspirational ! Thank You Leicester General Hospital !
