Thought I would give a review about my experience of Ward 12. Dad was admitted as he had become very weak over the preceeding months. After several investigations he was found to have Hodgkins Lymphoma. He has been an in-patient for about 8 weeks and is rapidly deteriorating. He has been incontinent of urine and faeces. He is getting more and more confused and has terrifying hallucinations. This has been a difficult time and dad is hard to nurse as he is very confused and becoming aggressive. I want to thank everyone on Ward 12 for their care and understanding. I have always felt involved in his care and decisions that had to bw made. I have felt staff very approachable and informative. Thank you to doctors who have treated him, to Ward sister and all the nurses, domestics and the ward clerk. Felt I had to say thank you officially as too often good care goes unnoticed. We know we have some hard times to come and difficult decisions to make but at least it has been made easier with him being on ward 12. A big thank you. X
