"Colonoscopy"

About: Leeds General Infirmary

I would like to thank all the staff in the Endoscopy department.I was treated with respect and kindness at all times which helped because i didn't know what to expect.I just wish at the time of procedure the consultant could have told me a little more of what had been found. So know i have to wait for the 16 biopsy results not knowing what they had been looking for.The only thing i was told was that there was no polyps. That didn't mean anything to me at the time.So until the results come back i am still worried that i have cancer after been ill for 3 months

Dear Sylvia Crawley Thank you for taking the time to post your comments. We were sorry to read that you had not been provided with more information and that this was causing you such worry. We have passed on your thanks to the staff in the Endoscopy Department and have also forwarded your comments to the Matron. If you would like to get some more information on the biopsies that were carried out, please contact the Trust’s Patient Advice and Liaison Service (PALS) on 0113 2067168 or email patient.relations@leedsth.nhs.uk Scott Senior Nurse - Patient Experience
