What I liked

I have recently written to the consultant whose care I was under to congratulate everyone concerned with my care during my recent stay in hospital. The doctors and nurses were kind and caring and spoke to me in a language I understood. Everything that was going to happen to me was explained thoroughly before any proceedure took place. The cleanliness of the ward and surrounding areas was first class and I have never seen people wash their hands so frequently. This was commented on by other patients on the ward and also my visitors. The quality of the meals was also very good. I cannot praise the people whose care I was in enough and would not hesitate about going back there should the need arise in the future.

What could be improved

More nursing staff on the night shift.

Anything else?

Thank heavens for the NHS and its dedicated staff.
