"The most useless and humiliating visit to a..."

About: The Eastman Dental Hospital

I was very disappointed and my visit did not bring up any changes I was hoping for. Nor a fair treatment was offered to me as the consultant said that the hospital is not going to do the things which my NHS dentist was not able to do. He said that the hospital is only providing advice, not treatment! However, at my arrival I was tricked to make a panoramic X-ray picture (imagine the radiation I was exposed to unnecessarily!)... only to find out that my picture is not going to serve anything than teaching and lecturing purposes (for free) as a treatment for my problem was refused. The consultant there said that I should seek another NHS dentist which is not possible as there aren't any other choices in my area. I almost left the hospital in tears. The whole humiliating procedure (waiting, x-ray, waiting, waiting again and consultation) lasted a bit more than one hour which is probably a great achievement for the hospital but not great for me as it was only a waste of time and an unnecessary exposure (accumulative) of X-rays radiation! Also, it seems that if I needed a copy of the X-ray picture, in order to avoid further radiation and in case I can visit a private dentist, I can only have a paper photocopy upon a fee (???) but not a digital scanned copy (???) . This is beyond any common sense! I am frustrated and indignant. I would not recommend that hospital to any of my friends or relatives as it is of little if none service. I entered this hospital with great expectations and hopes since I have waited for their referral for 6 months after some miscommunication problems and I left it with empty heart and hopeless.
