"Long wait for blood test"

About: Lister Hospital

Disappointed that there was a 1.5 to 2 hour wait for a blood test. The staff said it was the first day of a new system. I hope they get used to it soon! I had just come up from Welwyn because their delay was 1.5 hours (had they also changed over to the new system today?) Previously I've never had to wait more than 20 minutes.

On 1 May 2014, the majority of NHS pathology services (which includes blood testing) in six hospitals across the East of England transferred to a new NHS organisation called the Pathology Partnership - or tPP for short. We are very concerned to read your experience, as this reflect badly on us as well. We'll make sure that your comments are passed to the tPP team. In the meantime, please accept our apologies for the delay you experienced at the Lister.
