What I liked
It was 2004 and my son had cancer, was neutropenic and had tonsilitis and a temp of 37.4 they put him on nil by mouth in error were very harsh with him when he complained and even though his family had to wear gloves and aprons the staff were very careless with hygiene and the floor in his room was filthy. We couldn't wait to get my son out of there and he refused to go back when he became ill again.
What could be improved
They should not leave neutropenic patiens for so long in casulaty because of the risk of infection and they should have more of a caaring approach to how they deal with patients and families, apart from one Doctor who showed true compassion to our situation everyone else was distant and rude. My son was very ill and very young, a little compassion would have gone a long way.
