Last year I had chemo and mastectomy at the hospital. All service excellent. During chemo I developed DVT. Now clear I went to A&E on above date as I had leg pains. It was very busy. Final wait times of 4to6 hours. Come on some of those people could have gone to GPs . The 2nd year gentleman I saw was quick but thorough, said could be DVT but blood test would tell. Test showed normal but he went by his feeling, put me on anticoagulant injections until a scan. Had to wait week for scan and yes I have a DVT in my thigh. Now on Warfarin long term. Cannot thank him enough for using instinct and training. Especially when he was sold in busy. People are so quick to criticize I want to say thank you. Also to the wonderful DVT nurse I saw today.
