What I liked
Most of the nursing staff, despite being so obviously under pressure and stretched too thinly, were pleasant and friendly. GREAT respect is due to staff in the AMU. They really stood out.
What could be improved
Organisation, treating the patient with respect, communication, cleanliness. Appalling attitude of one consultant. Blood and pus left to dry on the floor.
Anything else?
Treatment time for my elderly father was delayed numerous times as each consultant coming on duty had a different view. He was consequently more or less starved for 4 days, with a drip to keep him going. Where's the communication?
