"Shocking to see"

About: The Queen Elizabeth Hospital (King's Lynn)

Visiting here this evening and seeing one elderly gentlemen asking for help to the toilet for over 20 minutes to be ignored by the same male nurse 3 times. Very distressing to see as the elderly gentlemen looked very confused and needed help. I still can't get this out of my mind some 2 hours having left the hospital tonight. There seems a total lack of care to the elderly in the pentney ward and let me very distressed. Shame on you QEH

I am very concerned to read of your experience whilst you were visiting Pentney Ward. I will be taking this matter up directly with the ward sister and will ensure that your observations are addressed with the staff involved. The Trust is completely committed to providing a responsive and caring service to all patients but particularly to those who are frail and vulnerable. I am sorry that both you and the gentleman concerned were affected by this incident. If you would like to discuss this further I would welcome a telephone call or email.
