My family member was taken ill and was diagnosed as having had a stroke in Trelisk hospital, after a short stay in hospital she was transferred to bodmin hospital. What a world of difference, she was treated with dignity and respect and treated as a person and not as a patient with an illness. At first I was worried about the move to the smaller hospital but we were all welcomed and reassured within minutes of our arrival. all of our needs were catered for across the entire visit and stay, no question was wrong, my family and her friends and relatives all had nothing but lovely things to stay about the staff, they were always friendly and helpful. The food was more than adequate and was served at regular times, all dietary needs were catered for and everyone on the ward had different requirements but all patients were happy. All of the treatments that she received were amazing and considering that the length of time she was in there for, the change was drastic, we know we have a long journey ahead with her but her stay in the hospital was a huge leap forward and has helped all of us concerned with her care in a positive way, I wish I could thank the staff more than I did and can do! Thank you all !
