"They have not made me feel like neurotic mum"

About: Huddersfield Royal Infirmary / Ophthalmology West Yorkshire

(as a parent/guardian),

I rang the service for advice regarding my 3.5 year old's eye cyst because my GP would not refer him. The staff nurse informed me that they only deal with over 18's but she would speak to a nurse for more advice and give me a call back.

The staff nurse rang me back within about 1/2 hour with some great advice and told me to go back to the GP to get referred to Paediatric Opthalmic Clinic at the Hospital.

I feel by ringing the hospital they have given me more hope and advice than my own GP when I have been worried about my little boy. They have not made me feel like neurotic mum, which is what I felt like when I had my last GP visit.
