To follow on from myrecent damning review of inpatient experiences and the not very clever PALs staff response (hardly a non interested party as the staff are KCH employees and will make the excuses they do in their response), Perhaps the rating for KCH on this tite, in terms of hygeine, infection control and cleanliness as being one of the worst squares up with my developing a serious illness without prompt treatment being instituted. I could, and may well still die. some of the junior Drs comments suggested to me they had not acted promptly enough so were unsure of my recovering fully. Outpatient contacts do not equate with inpatient experiences for serious illness and if you are seriously ill I would not recommend KCH, Its staff are not of the highest standards. The cleaners actually cleaned my commode and then started to clean, with the same cloth, the bedside table I eat food on. that is the kind of people they employ. It makes me very distressed to think this kind of thing is allowed by a well paid CEO of an HS trust who clearly has no idea what happens to patients- using PALS as the way to ward off people.'...
