"Very Frustrating"

About: Princess Royal University Hospital (Orpington)

Having tried 12 times yesterday to contact the direct number of the ward where my elderly father is being treated, I got the engaged tone 11 times and the ringing tone once, only to have it ring and ring until it timed out. I rang one further time and got through to the night shift, who were unable to give me any information! Particularly frustrating as we live 150 miles away and can't just drop in to visit.

I am extremely sorry to hear about your communication difficulties. If you would consider contacting me and letting me know which ward the issue relates to I would speak to the Matron responsible for the area regarding the problem, which is both ability to directly access and to obtain relavnt information.
