"my wife and her stay "

About: Vale of Leven General Hospital / Adult Mental Health

(as a relative),

My wife was admitted to the Fruin/Katrine ward with suspected Dementia, but after a fortnight observation it was thought to be severe depression and a course of ECT. treatment was arranged, which has proved very successful.

During her six week stay in the ward the care given to her by ALL the staff was outstanding, every time I visited her she was wearing something different and always clean and tidy, and again ALL the staff went out of their way to make her stay as pleasant as possible. I was at all time kept well informed of her progress and what her treatment involved.

I have nothing but praise for the hospital I also have had treatment there in the past with the same care and attention, many thanks to you all.

Dear fosus,

Thank you for your feedback via Patient Opinion. Although NHS Highland do not directly provide the services you have highlighted we do have a contract in place with NHS Greater Glasgow & Clyde so that patients living in Argyll & Bute can access services as required and indicated by clinical need.

I am delighted that you are very happy with the care you and your wife received and I am sure my colleagues at the Vale of Leven Hospital will also be delighted and respond to you shortly. It is always lovely to hear such positive feedback and I am sure the staff will be very heartened by your kind words.

Kind regards

Viv Hamilton
