"Total right hip replacement"

About: Leicester General Hospital

The nursing staff on wards 14and18 were wonderful. I had a few complications and I was looked after beautifully. My only criticism would be of the food provided, it was dreadful. Sandwiches, dry and hard, with virtually no filling, cooked meals tasted only of salt and the tea and coffee was undrinkable. Good job I had very little appetite ! Thank you again to all the staff on the wards, you are all stars.

Dear reviewer, Thank you for taking the time to post your comment. We are really pleased to hear how well you were cared for on wards 14 & 18 at the General. Your kind feedback has been passed on to the team involved in your care. However, we are sorry to hear that you didn’t enjoy the food service. We have passed your comments on to our suppliers, Interserve, who take all complaints seriously. We apologise if the quality of the food fell below the required quality on this occasion. All meals are patient reviewed and approved, and the minimum required nutrition levels are set by the Trust dietitians. We hope you are recovering well. Kind regards, Communications team, Leicester's Hospitals
