"Hospital Administration"

About: Derriford Hospital

Whilst no fault at all can be attached to the Wards/Clinics and medical staff who are all excellent - the administration side of the hospital is appalling. Unable to contact secretaries with queries, phones just ringing and ringing, no answerphone facility and if you are lucky enough to go around the houses and actually get a phone with a voicemail facility and leave a message, calls are never returned! Admin a disaster area. Not an isolated incident.

Good morning and thank you for your posting. I am sorry that you have had cause to raise concerns around contacts with administration at the Trust and that your personal experience is not an isolated example. I would be very grateful if you could confirm which areas you have found difficult to contact in order that we can inform the service line lead for each area involved. Please don't hesitate to share information via the PALS (Patient Advice and Liaison Service) inbox at plh-tr.PALS@nhs.net

Kind regards

Mary
