"Lack of information"

About: Blackpool Victoria Hospital

I was expecting to have kidney stones removed . After turning up for the operation and waiting 6 hrs and not being spoke to about what was happening. I was then taken in to get changed ready for the operation. to be then be told there wasn't time to do the op and will have to wait 28 days for a letter to go back in. I find this bad practise and feel disappointed with the people that are in charge.

I am sorry that there has been a delay with your procedure. It seems that there has been a lack of communication between the staff and patient, for which I apologise.

In order for me to fully investigate these issues for you, I would need some more information, I urge you to contact my team on 01253 955589 or pals@bfwhospitals.nhs.uk so I can speak to the areas directly involved in your care.

Thank you for taking the time to leave this valuable feedback, I will be sharing your comments with the teams involved in your care, so we can continue to work on improving the services that we provide.

Regards

Paul Jebb
