At a sectioned patient I automatically assumed I hated it and was desperate to escape, compared to the childrens unit at pebble lodge, ST Anns is fantastic! There's always friendly staff around so you never feel alone. Everyone was very supportive. One suggestion I have is that we should be allowed quiet, out of the way rooms for when family or friends come to visit for a bit of privacy. But unescorted leave needs to be sorted better for example, I spent over a week in hospital with no leave (whilst all the other patients where having unescorted leaves, village walks etc) whilst I had no leave at all the suddenly discharged into the great big world with no coming back! Overall, the ward was lovely and I am sure it will be an amazing hospital for hundreds of future patients. Thank you Seaview ward. You both saved my life and helped me get everything back under control.
