"My 3 Heroes "

About: Harmoni / NHS 111 South Western Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust / Emergency ambulance

(as the patient),

I phoned 111 this morning and before I knew it 3 wonderful paramedics arrived to help me.

Firstly they treated me on my hallway floor where I was doubled over pain and unable to move. For the first five minutes, I couldn't even see their faces just their nicely polished boots. They were wonderful at calming me down and well as being firm and clear with instructions.

Once I was able to move to a seat, they then explained every step of what they were doing and why, so I felt less panicked. I was lucky to have three wonderful guys looking after me including a very newbie (2 days in) who not once had me doubting their abilities. I was attached to a drip and within a short amount of time started to feel so much better.

The main thing was I was listened to, my concerns were taken seriously and I was helped by the clear and well thought through care plan.
