"Two night stay on HDU"

About: Northern General Hospital

Following a liver resection operation, I spent two nights on HDU. The care and support of all the staff was outstanding. The first night I had a nurse who was simply wonderful! I felt relaxed and comfortable (her patent method for pillow placement worked a treat!) After 2 nights, I was transferred to a general ward, the nurse did a handover onto my ward of another patient off HDU and she took the time to pop over and see how I was getting on. It seems unfair to single any one particular member of staff out as it was obvious that all staff on HDU were dedicated and incredibly good at their job. Two other nurses also stood out for me. Please pass on my sincere thanks to everyone involved in my care.
