"Treated like a number not a patient or human being"

About: Stepping Hill Hospital

I attended a planned operation as I needed non-urgent hand surgery. The hospital is very efficient with booking in appointments and making sure their tick boxes are complete and are on time. However, there is no time to care for the patient or answer questions. The staff are far more concerned with efficiency of the hospital than individual care. There is no focus on patient choices. The staff tell you the way things have to be and there is no choice. The hospital was clean and there was time to read patient leaflets on treatments but these did not answer all my questions.
