"Unsatisfactory wait for MRI results - Dept of..."

About: Royal Stoke University Hospital

My mother had to wait for nearly 3 months for her MRI scan to be reported on! After waiting for the GP referral, the appt to be made with the specialist, the appt for MRI scan was long enough but after having the MRI scan performed, waiting 3 months for the typed Radiologists report is totally unacceptable, considering the 18 week target which includes the first diagnostic investigation I do not know how this Trust is still viable - it does beg questions...??? Meanwhile my mother is crying with pain and it has been found that she has severe spinal stenosis as well as spondylitis - all she wants is help with her pain. 3 months for a typed report is not acceptable, she know has to wait again for appt with another specialist and the cycle start again! She is totally exasperated with the whole situation and is in absolute agony everyday with I answers.
