"Replacement knee surgery"

On the 28th May I underwent a knee replacement at Musgrove. My treatment at all times was excellent, and the nursing staff were very kind and caring. I was very concerned about the anesthetic, due to a previous experience. I aired my concerns to the anaesthetist, who spent a considerable amount of his time reassuring me. He promised me that my concerns would be addressed, and I would not feel the pain that I had experienced before. He was true to his word, and my fear of spinal injections, has been completely removed, and I would be happy to undergo the treatment again. He came back to se me the next day and confirmed my trust in all that he had said. The consultant carried out my knee replacement with his usual confidence and skill, and I am really pleased with the results. The nursing staff were kind and caring, and dealt with my every concern, with this treatment came the new wards, with all the new wonderful facilities. I could not have asked for more. Three weeks after the operation I am able to walk unaided. Finally I would like to thank the after care staff, who visited me at home the day after I left the hospital, and came to my home and changed my dressings.
