"HDU 10 th June to 17th June 2014"

About: Russells Hall Hospital

My husband was admitted as an emergency. HDU all staff are wonderful. My sincere thanks to the staff who were mainly looking after my husband. 100% care given. An amazing nurse had a really difficult few days, but never once complained. Thank you to to the dr who showed me empathy and also the anaesthetist who took time out to discuss everything. Thank you for all information you gave in a professional manner. Matron - you run an excellent ward. I only wish I could have read all the names on name badges so that I could have named and praised so many nurses and doctors.

Thank you so much for taking the time to post such lovely feedback about the care your husband received in our High Dependency Unit. We are so pleased you had a positive experience of the care we offer our poorly patients. Being empathetic and explaining everything that is happening is so important at, what must have been, a worrying time for you both. Although you don’t know the names of the staff who treated your husband, matron Kaye Sheppard will be delighted to pass on your kind words to the team who work in the unit.
