"keyhole surgery on vein at weekend at day surgery..."

About: Hull Royal Infirmary

I cannot speak highly enough of my experience after being called in to have my long awaited laser and ablation surgery. I never got to meet the doctor but met his registrar and then had to wait from October until June to get word and although I arrived at 8am but wasn't taken until last at 2pm it was well worth the wait. The staff from reception to surgeon were fantastic, the waiting room, operating prep and change rooms were all clean and blankets crisp and fresh and although it was the weekend and some staff were spring cleaning around me the three working on me were hugely professional and the doctor was such a gentleman and considerate throughout. The girls were humorous and attentive. I left that afternoon and am starting my recovery process but can fault the surgeon and how gentle he was from anaesthetic through to final cut; the 'microwave' technique was unusual but when the final beep came I knew and was communicated to that it was successfully blasted! Well done HRI!!! Christina
