"Follow up to Where are the registrars and..."

About: Wexham Park Hospital

I have now requested the nurse in charge at the GM Unit to call the Surgical Clinical Site/Bed Manager as advised below. It also now worringly transpires that the Locum Doctor-General Medicine who I spoke to yesterday and very strongly advised no urethal catheter should be given to my father unless the Urology consultant has been advised first (due to obstruction caused by stent and severe UTI) has ignored this and got someone to perform the urethal catheterisation procedure which predictiably failed. Has this now casued further problems ???? The nurse in charge also confirmed that as yet no Orthopedic registrar/consultant or Urological registrar/consultan has seen my father.

Thank you for leaving the extra information and for speaking with the nurse in charge. The site manager reviewed your father's medical records last night and the team will be working to resolve this today. I am very sorry that this has happened and for the confusion and distress this has caused to you both. I will be sending your feedback to both the Clinical Leads for medicine and surgery for investigation. Kind Regards Claire Marshall Associate Director of Patient Experience and Public Involvement
