my 15yr old son was taken into grimsby hospital by ambulance for emergency appendlcitis, from walking onto the ward the staff was really helpful and was really friendly,i left my child over night and come home whilst i was away the staff on the ward was amazing with him,the night i did stay they made sure i was comfy and had what i needed. ie bed pillow blankets, was a very busy on the ward but the nurse kept us informed why we was late going down for op and when we would be going down, when we did go down to theatre, theatre staff was amazing the staff was just lovely made me feel at ease and explained everything in full to my son, the prep area in theatre was spotless and clean, when i went with the nurse to collect liam the hand over was clear and done so i could understand as well.on ward they kept checking on liam he was in no pain and making sure he was comfortable. when he was eating the food was good and always making sure they had ordered the food, the parents kitchen was always clean and tidy parents toilets spotless, overall staff was amazing on the ward even tho they were all so busy they still had time for a quick smile as they passed u on the wards and all staff spoke to liam when they entered the room, i would give ward staff *****+ for the 4 day stay we had thank you
