"oncology department is not a very nice place to be..."

About: Royal United Hospital

very difficult to get any appointment with an oncologist and not very helpful staff when the patient try to get some information from them. Nursing staff are generally take good care of cancer patient. Doctors here do not always show sign of caring towards their patient. Lead cancer care nurse is very caring. But I will not trust them to look after my own mother or the love one as I have no choice but to be treated here.

I’m sorry to hear that you found it difficult to get an appointment with an oncologist and that you found the staff unhelpful when trying to get information. We’d be grateful if you could contact our Patient Advice and Liaison Service on 01225 825656 or via email at ruh-tr.PatientAdviceandLiaisonService@nhs.net so that we can look into this further.
