(as a parent/guardian),

I attended A&E with my daughter last Tuesday evening (she arrived by ambulance). Although there was an issue due to her case not being handed over on the change of shift, once this was highlighted by myself, the staff moved into top gear & dealt with the situation in a professional manner. I would like to compliment all the staff for all their hard work. I cannot believe how much under pressure they were & how well they dealt with some very rude & impatient individuals. It was clear that the A&E was overstretched & additional facilities are required. Pay them double & get them some more help!

Thank you for taking the time to provide us with feedback, and I agree with your view about space and resources. We are experiencing much higher numbers of patients attending the department than it was designed to cope with, and we are trying to recruit additional nurses and doctors to support the increase in workload. Unfortunately this will take time as there is a shortage both locally and nationally.

I will ensure staff receive your feedback.
