"special needs child"

About: Bristol Royal Hospital For Children

after visiting twice with our little boy with complex special needs really disappointed with service we received especially during our second and most recent visit. after spending all night and doing various tests was sent home with a still very distressed little boy doctor said perhaps he will feel better at home and have to got plenty of paracetamol. why did she think I brought him in in the first place! if he was settled at home. feel as a parent I was not listened to properly or taken seriously thought the children's hospital was my best chance as sorting little one's distress as they are supposedto have best staff but obviously I was wrong

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience at the Bristol Royal Hospital for Children. We are very sorry that you feel you weren’t properly listened to or taken seriously during your recent visit – we know this a very important part of ensuring that children receive the right care, particularly as your son has complex special needs. We would very much like to look into this further for you, so that we can find out more about your experience and so that we can learn from this. To enable us to do this we would be grateful if you could contact our LIAISE service (0117 342 8065 or 8158 / bchinfo@UHBristol.nhs.uk). Thank you again for your feedback and we hope to hear from you soon.
